The Museums on the Green offers a full range of adult and family programs, including our 2017 Lecture Series. Costs to most lectures are $ 5 for members and $ 8 for non-members, and are held at our Cultural Center, 55 Palmer Avenue, Falmouth. We also offer historical trolley rides on Wednesdays during the fall (reservations required), walking tours of Falmouth on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10 am (weather permitting), and many special events (including our “Lucky 13th Beer-BQ” on Oct. 13, our “Visit with the Night Watchman” on Oct. 28, and our holiday house tours Dec. 2-10.

BATTLESHIP COVE–the world’s largest collection of World War II Naval Vessels!
Journey through time from WWII to the Cold War as you trace the footsteps of the sailors aboard the historic National Landmarks berthed at Battleship Cove. Discover the rich legacy of the brave men and women who served America in uniform, and the technology, firepower and human sacrifice it took to preserve our freedoms. Exhibits include the battleship USS Massachusetts, the destroyer USS Joseph P. Kennedy, the submarine USS Lionfish, a collection of PT boats such as what was used by John F. Kennedy, and the East German ship Hiddensee, as well as exhibits on women in the military, “A Sailor’s Life”, and “Closing the Gap: the role of the Azores during World War II”.
Lunch will be served on deck of the USS Massachusetts. You will have your choice of salmon, steak tips, Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, vegetable and dessert. All of this is included in your admission price!
LIZZIE BORDEN HOUSE
Lizzie Borden gained infamy after being tried and acquitted for the 1892 axe murders of her father and stepmother. As this is the 125th anniversary of the murders, and Halloween is also in October, it seems like a great time to visit the legendary location of this Fall River crime!
This bus trip will include your transportation to and from Falmouth to these museums and back, your admission to the museums, and your lunch.
Bus will leave Falmouth at 8:30 am.
