Whodunnit? The Lizzie Borden Myster Continues with Christopher Daley
February 28 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm$5.00
Lizzie Borden took an axe
And gave her mother forty whacks.
And when she saw what she had done,
She gave her father forty-one.
We all know the ditty, but few know the facts behind the infamous, unsolved double-murders that rocked the Fall River community in August 1892. Historian Christopher Daley takes us back to that fateful summer day when Andrew and Abby Borden were brutally killed in their home. He’ll recount the day’s events and the police investigation that followed in striking detail. He’ll tell you why the couple’s daughter Lizzie came under suspicion and share actual testimony from the sensational trial which followed. You’ll have the opportunity to hear and examine the evidence from over a century ago, then it’s up to you to decide whodunnit. Lizzie was acquitted; no one else was ever charged. Perhaps you’ll help solve one of the greatest murder mysteries of all time.
