SUMMARY:Bus Trip to Peabody Essex Museum
DESCRIPTION:The Peabody Essex Museum in Salem was created to celebrate outstanding artistic and cultural creativity by collecting\, stewarding and interpreting objects of art and culture in ways that increase knowledge\, enrich the spirit\, engage the mind and stimulate the senses. It is one of the 25 largest art museums in the nation and one of the fastest growing in North America. \nVisitors will receive a one-hour guided tour at 11:00 am to highlight the Museum and then have another hour to explore on their own. \nAfter leaving Peabody Essex\, visitors will be taken to Pickering Wharf in Salem where they can have lunch on their own before returning to Falmouth. \nOn exhibit: “Ocean Liners: Glamour\, Speed and Style”\n“All the Flowers are for Me”\n“MegaCity: India’s Culture of the Streets”\n“Importing Splendor: Luxuries from China”\n“Native Art from the Northwest Coast”\n“Stickwork: Architecture from Saplings” \nTickets are $ 60 each. Lunch is on your own.
