DESCRIPTION:A 4-part series with Mary Wilson\, from The Coalition for Children\, along with staff from the Museums on the Green\, exploring museum objects related to cooking and life in the kitchen\, followed by a craft and hands-on activity to take home. \nIn each session\, the families will explore a museum object that is related to cooking and domestic life in the kitchen and listen to a related story. Afterward\, they will engage in a craft and activity based on the topic of the day’s story. DESCRIPTION:Hop into Spring at Falmouth Museums on the Green! \nSchool Vacation Week– Thursday April 24th at 11am– 55 Palmer Avenue \nFree and Open to the public thanks to the Ellis Family. \nJoin us for a fun-filled spring celebration\, featuring history\, creativity\, and a classic seasonal tradition—with a twist! \nChildren will take a short guided tour of the historic c. 1790 Dr. Francis Wicks House\, learning about how rooms were decorated in the past and what they reveal about the people who lived in them. Afterward\, kids can get creative by designing their own room on paper\, using paper antiques to bring their space to life. \nTo wrap up the festivities\, we’re keeping the good times rolling—literally—with a special post-Easter Egg Hunt in the Museum Yard! Each child will receive two wooden eggs to find and take home\, and we encourage families to decorate or paint them together. \nCome celebrate the season with history\, hands-on fun\, and a little bit of hopping around! Then get crafty with a hands-on art activity to take home. Space is limited. \nMeets at 1PM on Thursdays Feb 6\, Feb 13\, Feb 27 and Mar 6. Does NOT meet when public schools are closed on Feb 20th. \nNO COST thanks to the Falmouth Historical Society’s Caroline S. Lloyd Memorial Fund and the Coordinated Family & Community Engagement (CFCE) Grant. \nThe Coalition for Children is an education and support program for caregivers with children from birth to age 6 funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. DESCRIPTION:Hop into Spring at Falmouth Museums on the Green! \nWhat does a room say about you? \nKids can create their favorite room using a model of the historic Dr. Francis Wicks House\, and discover fun ways to decorate by collaging the contents for spring. \nThis will be followed by a Falmouth Museum on the Green spring favorite\, The Bunny Scavenger Hunt. Eleanor and Reginald are two of the bunnies who live at the Museums. They have lots of favorite spots they visit every day. Children will use pictures to guide them to different bunny landmarks. The program will end with an easter egg hunt on the grounds of the Falmouth Historical Society. The barn will be used in case of rain. \n  \nSaturday\, March 30th 10:30am to 11:30am – Held at the Falmouth Museums on the Green 65 Palmer Avenue Falmouth\, MA 02540. \nFree\, Donations are welcome.
