Cape Dreams – A Season with the Brewster Whitecaps – Author Talk
July 10th at 4pm
Every summer, the greatest college baseball players that come together on Cape Cod are after one thing: their dreams.
The summer teams on the Cape are a pivotal step toward the Major Leagues, as professional hopefuls vie to showcase their talents and get attention from scouts looking for the next MLB legend. And the 2024 Brewster Whitecaps turned out to be a walking, talking, and home run–hitting testament to real people who make history.
In Cape Dreams, you’ll learn the true story about the athletes who made up this historic roster. With a keen eye and help of their manager Jamie Shevchik, these players took on the league with integrity, determination, and skill heretofore unseen on a single team.
This thrilling and near-magical account of sports history in the making will remind America why we love baseball and will reinforce fans’ dedication to our favorite pastime. Join the Whitecaps players, coaches, and volunteers on this once-in-a- generation ride, complete with interviews and close-up looks at some of the biggest names in Major League Baseball.
When it’s over, you’ll find yourself cheering for just one more game.
$20 Non-Members/$10 Museums on the Green Members, or donation based ticket. Light refreshments served.
