Planning Your Visit –
HOURS OF OPERATION and TOUR OPTIONS: The Museums will open for the 2026 Season on June 5th to October 16th – Mon, Tues, Fri 10am-2pm, & Sat 10am-4pm. (The museum will be closing at 3pm on June 20th.) *We will be closed to the public July 25th for our Summer Benefit.*
We are happy to offer docent led tours of the c. 1790 Dr. Francis Wicks House Museum during our open hours. Tours try to leave on the hour, the last tour starts an hour before closing. Our Cultural Center exhibitions, Conant House Galleries, and grounds are self- guided.
We offer a variety of FREE engaging opportunities for young learners, including a scavenger hunt, a self -guided tour of the Village Green, and activity backpacks available for families to rent free of charge while on campus. During tours of the Dr. Francis Wicks House, children can also participate in our popular “Eye Spy in the Mansion” game. To help make the experience more interactive and family friendly, we provide plush animals and fidget toys for visitors to hold during the tour, encouraging hands-on engagement while helping protect the museum’s fragile historic collections while in the historic house.
Museum Hours: Museum is open Monday, Tuesday, Friday 10-2pm, and Saturdays 10 to 4pm.
Office Hours: Office is open year-round, M-F 10am-3pm.
Museum archives: are open by appointment year-round in the Conant House.

ADMISSION FOR CAMPUS TOURS & EXHIBITS: FREE, DONATIONS APPRECIATED

FREE Admission for the 2026 season in Celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution! Admission to the Museums on the Green includes a guided tour of the 1790 Dr. Francis Wicks House, exhibit rooms in the c1730 Conant House, cannon shed, Hallett Barn Visitors Center, and Cultural Center. Donations certainly appreciated.
Start your visit in the Hallett Barn Visitor Center at 55 Palmer Avenue, Falmouth.
Guided Tours of the 1790 Dr. Francis Wicks House are available on the hour, with the last tour starting one hour before closing.
Visitors can always tour the Colonial Gardens & Memorial Park during daylight hours anytime of year.
Bus tours and groups larger than 10 must call ahead to ensure adequate staffing for their visit.
WALKING TOURS
We offer some walking tours year-round, be sure to check both our calendar and walking tour page for more information.
In-Season: Walking tours depart from the Hallett Barn on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 10:30 am. Arriving about 15 minutes before is recommended. Historical Walking Tour Schedule

RESEARCH LIBRARY
The Research Library is located in the c1730 Conant House, 65 Palmer Avenue, Falmouth.
The library is open by appointment. Please email our Research Manager Meg Costello meg@museumsonthegreen.org to schedule an appointment.
PARKING
Set your GPS to 35 Katharine Lee Bates Road, Falmouth. Our parking lot is at the rear of our property. Our front parking lot is 55 Palmer Avenue, please angle your car, if you park in this lot to accommodate others.
