Art & Wellness: Stretch and Sketch Series
July 11 @ 10:00 am - August 9 @ 11:30 am
The Falmouth Historical Society is thrilled to present a new exciting Art & Wellness Stretch and Sketch Series. The programs start with a short 20-minute art talk given by the Society’s Director, American art historian, Rachel Lovett, about different paintings in our collection followed by a 45 minute yoga session in the beautiful garden paired with the theme of the painting talk.
Amy Littlefield will lead a yoga and meditation class, accessible for all levels. The practice will help students relax and be present. A time to listen to our mind, body and all senses. Creating space to take in the surroundings then tap into our creativity. Please wear comfortable yoga clothes, bring a mat and any other yoga props to help you be comfortable.
Sessions are $20/person per session for Non-Members and $10/person per session for Museum Members and includes a sketch notebook.
The sessions are as follows:

About Amy:
Amy began teaching yoga in 2008, wanting to share how the physical practice
helped calm her busy mind. She has attended yoga trainings and retreats around the
world, fueling both her love of yoga and travel. From each place and teacher, she
has taken something unique shaping her own style today. She has completed two
200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher trainings, multiple workshops on the chakras and
is trained in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). In her classes, she
encourages students to tap into their own strength and be in the present moment.
