March 27, 2018 by Museums on the Green

Cape Cod Museum Trail’s “Festival of Museums”

The Museums on the Green is proud to be a participant in the Cape Cod Museum Trail’s Festival of Museums on April 28th 2018!

This event will be held at the Hyannis Youth Center, 141 Basset Lane, Hyannis, MA, from 10 am to 4 pm

The Festival of Museums is just that – a FREE one-day celebration of Cape Cod’s museums and galleries with events throughout the day.

2Museums and galleries from all around Cape Cod are offering a fun packed day of surprising and exciting events and activities aimed at igniting your imagination.  So, whether you’re a mom or dad looking for something to do with the kids, a group of friends looking for a new experience or an art or history enthusiast, come along and join in the fun!

If you were not able to attend last year’s event, here is what you missed! With over 60 exhibitors and 1,000 attendees, the Festival was a HUGE hit. Children enjoyed a coloring contest, face painting and activities at various museum booths. Adults and families had opportunities to take a LEGO challenge together, walk through the 40ft inflatable whale and watch the amazing Yo-Yo Guy. Chris Macort offered an intriguing presentation on diving the Whydah Pirate Ship while Anthony Amore spoke about his book, The Art of the Con. Needless to say, the day was jam packed with fun, education and activities from start to finish.  So whether you are a museum/ business or potential attendee, don’t miss out on the 2018 Festival of Museums!
